Maratona e Meia Maratona de Lisboa condicionam trânsito em Lisboa, Oeiras e Cascais no fim de semana 2026

The Lisbon Marathon weekend divides its main races over two mornings. The marathon starts in Carcavelos on Saturday and finishes at Praça do Comércio. The half marathon takes place on Sunday, beginning at the Vasco da Gama Bridge and ending at the same downtown location. This road-running event spans Lisbon, Oeiras, and Cascais. A shorter mini-marathon is also available for those who wish to participate without completing the full or half distance. The marathon route traces the coastline through Carcavelos, Oeiras, and Estoril before turning towards Lisbon’s riverfront. The half marathon commences from a high point on the Vasco da Gama Bridge, then proceeds through Lisbon’s historic central streets to its conclusion at Praça do Comércio, a prominent city square. Thousands of participants attend, and the scale of the event necessitates the closure or restriction of major waterfront roads, including the section between Algés and Praça do Comércio, during the races.
