Monza21 is a half marathon and shorter-distance running event held at the Autodromo di Monza, a motor-racing circuit known as the temple of speed. It takes place on a Sunday morning in March, starting at 9:00. The race offers a 21 km competitive run, a 21 km tourist-sportive option for international participants, a competitive 10 km, a non-competitive 10 km, and a non-competitive 5 km.
The start is signaled by the circuit’s distinctive traffic light, making the runners' departure resemble drivers on a grid more than athletes at a typical road race. The course incorporates the new track, the old track, and Parco di Monza, providing more variety than a standard circuit lap. Its flat, fast profile is ideal for runners aiming for a personal best, and the shorter non-competitive distances attract those who wish to experience the Monza setting without competing in the half marathon. This event is in its eleventh year.
