LüneLauf

LüneLauf is an evening run and walk held at OSV in Ochtmissen, near Lüneburg. The primary event is a 6.2 km loop for runners, with walkers completing the same distance. Children have a separate 1 km race. The children’s race and walking event begin before the main run. The event welcomes a wide range of participants: anyone wishing to run or walk the six-kilometer Ochtmissen loop may enter, and the kids’ race is for younger children. The series is in its third edition, following the motto “Never change a winning team” and organized with OSV Move | Ochtmisser SV. Entry fees function as environmental donations: adults pay 10 euros, and children and youth pay 5 euros. All funds support environmental projects, specifically the ecological enhancement of former fish ponds in Westergellersen through the Nature Conservation Foundation of the Lüneburg District. The event also recognizes the largest school team, the fastest team, and the largest team, emphasizing group participation alongside individual performance.
