Om dette løpet
The Maira Occitan Trail is a 42 km mountain trail race in Italy’s Maira Valley, featuring 2,650 meters of climbing within a loop through the Unerzio and Marmora valleys. Now in its fifth edition, it originated from the MOT events and presents a full marathon-distance profile with significant Alpine elevation.
Runners depart the race village and immediately face a steep ascent, passing through Canosio en route to Colle di San Giovanni. The course then descends toward the main valley, enters Unerzio, goes by Frere, Chialvetta, and Viviere, and climbs to Gardetta Pass before crossing the wide Gardetta plateau. The location is part of a valley known for its outdoor culture and sustainable tourism throughout the year.
