The fisiocrem GC50 Run Festival takes place at Queen Elizabeth Park in Coolangatta, on the Southern Gold Coast. Its central point is Marine Parade. The main event is a 50 km road ultra. The weekend also includes a half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, and a Kids Dash, accommodating both marathon-ready runners and those preferring shorter distances within the same festival. The 50 km course is flat and consists of multiple laps along the coast, offering broad ocean views. Aid stations are positioned for long-distance participants. It is designed as an initial ultra for runners transitioning from marathons, and it also attracts top Australian ultra runners as the venue for the AUTRA 50 km Road National Championships.
