Azores Bravos Trail 2026

The Azores Bravos Trail is a technical trail-running series on Terceira Island in the Azores, held in October over steep volcanic terrain. The longest option is the 100 km Endurance race with 3,933 meters of elevation gain, accompanied by a 50 km Ultra, 35 km Trail, 15 km Sprint, and a 10 km Caminhada walk. The routes guide runners across volcanic ridges, old lava fields, forest paths, coastal overlooks, steep ascents, and technical descents. This event is organized by Associação de Atletismo da Ilha Terceira, holds UTMB Index and ITRA National League status, and is also known as Provas de Bravura, or Trials of Bravery, a name that suits the rugged island course.
