19. Deichlauf Neuwied

The Neuwied Deichlauf is a running event held in Neuwied, featuring a 10-kilometer race as its central event. The courses utilize Rheinstraße and the Goethe-Anlagen, positioning the event within the city center instead of on secluded rural routes. This event attracts a wide range of local participants; approximately 1,400 runners took part, with about 900 being children and teenagers. This significant youth participation is a notable aspect, as many young runners approach the starting line with anticipation and some apprehension. Lohmann & Rauscher serves as the primary sponsor.
