About this race
The Martin Night Run begins at SNP Square in Martin, Slovakia, sending hundreds of participants through the city streets after dark. The main events commence at 20:00, with the 5 km and 10 km races starting simultaneously. The 5 km Nordic Walking group departs five minutes later. Earlier, at 17:00, children’s races take place; these are free, making the event suitable for families alongside adult runners and walkers.
The course winds through Martin’s city center, featuring a combination of asphalt, interlocking paving, and firm natural surfaces. The 10 km race consists of two laps of a 5 km circuit, whereas the 5 km run and Nordic Walking option complete a single lap. A DJ and illumination along the course define the night race's atmosphere. A two-hour time limit accommodates a broad spectrum of participants, not exclusively competitive club runners. The Civic Association Sport and Health, Big-agency Slovakia, and the city of Martin organize the event.
