About this race
In Šamorín, runners spend the day circling Pomlé park rather than racing between towns. The Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence series offers three ultra-distance options: a 6-hour run, a 12-hour run, and a 100km race. The 100km and 12-hour races begin at 7:00 AM, while the 6-hour runners start at 1:00 PM. It is a straightforward, endurance-focused event: select a time limit or the 100km distance, then continue running within the park for the duration required by the chosen format.
The series is organized by Sri Chinmoy Races, part of the Self-Transcendence running tradition centered on long-distance effort and personal limits. The 6-hour race, now in its 24th edition, is the longest-standing event. The 12-hour and 100km races are in their 15th editions. Registration opens on race morning, first for the 100km and 12-hour runners at 6:00 AM, followed by the 6-hour field at 11:00 AM. Participants are typically ultrarunners, patient club runners, and distance specialists who favor a measured park course over a city road race.
