GC50 Run Festival 2026

The GC50 Run Festival is a running weekend on the Southern Gold Coast, held at Queen Elizabeth Park on Marine Parade in Coolangatta. The main event is the 50km Ultra, a flat coastal ultra, with a half marathon, 10km, 5km, and Kids Dash also offered. The festival takes place each October and has been an annual event since 1997, providing a long-standing reason for local and visiting runners to visit the coast. The courses are on flat roads alongside the ocean, offering wide sea views with minimal elevation gain. This setup allows beginners to select a shorter distance and faster runners to aim for personal bests. The event attracts the Gold Coast running community and has previously sold out. Alongside the races, it functions as a beachside fitness event, featuring yoga sessions, live entertainment, and supporters gathering at the same Coolangatta location as the runners.
