Barkin Mad Ultra 2026

Barkin' Mad Ultra is a trail race held at Rokeby Recreation Reserve in Victoria, where dogs can run with their owners. The event offers distances from short, family-friendly options to a 50 km ultra, including 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, 20 km, and 50 km races. The shorter races are also suitable for walkers. This is a countryside trail event, not a road race, and its dog-friendly nature influences the entire day, from participants to aid stations. The marked loop course features native forest trails, off-road paths, rail trail sections, and single track around Rokeby. Runners will encounter hills, forest turns, technical corners, and sustained climbing near the finish, requiring good trail running ability for the longer distances. Participants include ultra runners, casual runners, walkers, families, beginners, and dogs. Mandatory gear and race rules apply to both humans and dogs.
