Trail Los Cortados

Trail Los Cortados begins in Cabezón de Pisuerga, a town in Valladolid, sending runners onto the local cut banks that give the race its name. This trail running event, held in spring to early summer, offers varying distances. Recent editions feature routes of approximately 20-25 km, 12-13 km, and a short 4 km option. Earlier formats also included a 12 km Nordic walking route. The longer trail has been listed at 25 km with 1,027 m of climbing, and the shorter trail at 12 km with 450 m, indicating it is not a flat course. Older race rules describe a neutral rollout from Puente de Cabezón, an official start on Calle las Bastas, and a finish at Belén de Cabezón in the bodega area. The race is also known as Ruta de los Infiernos, is organized by the Ayuntamiento de Cabezón de Pisuerga, and attracts enough local interest that bibs have sold out before race weekend.
