Sobre esta prova
The Swim Around North Keppel Island is part of the Keppel Islands Swimming Association’s open-water swim series in the Keppel Islands, off Queensland in the Southern Great Barrier Reef. The North Keppel option is about 11km, while the wider program ranges from a 1km swim around Sloping Island to a roughly 20km lap of Great Keppel Island. The main Swim Around Keppel event is run as a swimming festival, with 1km and 6km choices alongside the marathon swim.
The courses use different island loops: Middle Island has a 6km circumnavigation, Miall Island has a 2.5km swim, and the Keppel Tri-Swim Challenge links Middle, Miall, and Great Keppel across three stages. Stronger swimmers can aim at the Keppel Trident, a three-stage series totaling more than 73km. New swimmers and families have shorter options, while experienced open-water swimmers can take on longer island circuits, tailored solo swims, or Warm Water Camps that focus on training in the same reef waters.
