21. Nienburger Spargellauf

The Nienburger Spargellauf, a running event held in late May in Nienburg/Weser, begins and concludes on Lange Strasse in the town center. Participants can select a 5 km or 10 km race on a flat, officially measured course. A 1 km race is available for schoolchildren. This event, now in its 21st year, welcomes both novice and seasoned runners. The course follows a flat 2.5 km loop through Nienburg's historic old town, the green belt surrounding the center, and pathways alongside the Weser river. Chip timing ensures accurate results for all participants, regardless of the event's straightforward and welcoming format. The entry fee for adults is EUR 5. Thomas Plathner manages the organization, Anja Wiegrebe handles registration, and Mittelweser-Touristik GmbH provides support.
