The Blazing 5k 2026

The Blazing 5k is a fast road 5K in Des Moines, Iowa, held in Water Works Park starting from the George Flagg Parkway area. It is considered the fastest 5K in the Midwest and also functions as the USATF Iowa Road 5K State Championship. The event includes an open 5K with no time limit, alongside distinct elite women's and men's races with qualifying times of 20:00 and 16:30, respectively.
