Mad Meadows 50 2026

Mad Meadows 50 takes runners above 6,000 feet for the 50K and above 7,000 feet for the 50-mile race. The event begins at Grouse Creek Group Campsite on Chiwawa River Road, near Leavenworth, Washington. Evergreen Trail Runs hosts this race in October within the Eastern Cascades. The 50-mile race starts at 6:00 a.m., with the 50K starting at 6:30 a.m. Both races have an 8:00 p.m. cutoff time. The course includes smooth singletrack, steep ascents, technical sections, ridge trails, meadows, and old burn areas. Higher elevations offer views east into the Entiat River Valley and west toward Clark Mountain and Dakobed (Glacier Peak). The race timing coincides with larch season, meaning golden larches will be visible along parts of the route. The 50K is Trail Sisters Approved.
