Yorkshire Coast 10k 2026

Scarborough Spa serves as the start and finish point for the Yorkshire Coast 10k, a 10-kilometre road race along the seafront in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The race commences at 9:45 am, following the closure of seafront roads to traffic. It welcomes runners aged 15 and above, regardless of their experience level. The course is characterized as flat and fast, making it suitable for those running their first 10K or aiming for a personal best. Chip timing is provided, and the event day also features a 5K and a 2.5K Fun Run. The route begins at the Spa, proceeds around South Bay, passes the harbour, circles the headland, enters North Bay, goes through the Open Air Theatre, and concludes back at the Spa. Kilometer markers are positioned along the 10K course, with a water station located around the 4K mark. All finishers are awarded a medal and a goody bag, with an option to pre-order a T-shirt. The race supports local charities; participants can select which hospital their contribution benefits, leading to a mix of charity runners, club athletes, and local participants.
