Over deze race
The Antelope Island Fall Classic is a late-season trail race held at Antelope Island State Park in Syracuse, Utah, starting at White Rock Bay. It has been a fixture in Utah trail running since the early 2010s, offering ultra runners a final long dirt race before winter. The event features ultra distances and a 10-mile option, with expected cool running weather, though snow is still a possibility.
The 50K course circles the island, covering approximately 3,500 feet of elevation gain. It crosses rolling desert terrain, ridgelines, offers views of the Great Salt Lake, and explores the island's less-traveled west side. Participants might encounter free-range bison, deer, antelope, and bighorn sheep on the trails. Longer race options include a 75K out-and-back to Frary Peak, the island's highest point, and the 10-mile route utilizes singletrack around Bridger Bay. The race is hand-timed, provides stocked aid stations and drop bags, permits camping, prohibits dogs and pacers, and humorously warns that unregistered runners will be heckled.
