1. Burgenpatt Ultramarathon

The Burgenpatt Ultramarathon begins and ends at the parking lot of Burg Vischering in Lüdinghausen. Runners depart at 8:00 AM following a brief orientation. This is a small, understated event offering two distances: an ultramarathon and a half marathon. Registration is by cash payment on the day, parking is complimentary, and participation is limited to 24 ultramarathon runners and 6 half marathon runners. The course consists of an 11.4-kilometer circuit crossing hiking paths, side roads, and gravel tracks. Approximately 80 percent of the route follows the Burgenpatt hiking trail, with an additional loop encircling Burg Vischering. The course is not entirely marked and remains open to traffic, requiring participants to navigate using Garmin or Komoot files and exercise caution on road segments. No race provisions are supplied, making it suitable for individuals prepared to carry their own provisions and manage a self-reliant outing. Timing is conducted manually, aligning with the event's modest, functional character.
