Oamaru Fun Run and Duathlon Series: Race 1 2026

Oamaru’s Wednesday evening series starts and finishes at Friendly Bay by the Oamaru Harbour Playground, with racing beginning at 6:00pm. It is run by the Oamaru Multisport Club and offers two choices: a run-bike-run duathlon, or a casual fun run/walk for those who want to move without the bike leg. The duathlon gives beginners a low-pressure way to try multisport, while experienced athletes can use it as a short midweek hit-out. Individuals, families, and teams can enter, and the fun run/walk accommodates all ages and fitness levels. The series is built around participation, enjoyment, and community rather than a hard-edged race-day atmosphere.
