The Icchan! Relay Marathon is a team relay marathon held in June at Prefectural Park Taikoyama Land in Toyama Prefecture. Runners share laps on a course within the park, giving the event a relaxed, outdoorsy atmosphere distinct from a typical road race. The marathon is designed for a wide age range, welcoming both children and adults, with a participant limit of 6,500. The course utilizes Taikoyama Land, a spacious park with abundant greenery, allowing teams to rotate runners throughout the day rather than having a single individual complete the entire marathon. The event also features entertainment alongside the racing: DJ KOO from TRF is a guest, providing music that spans dance classics, EDM, J-POP, anime songs, and game music. Nippon TV announcer Yuki Sumioka, a native of Takaoka known for sports broadcasts like the Hakone Ekiden and baseball coverage, is also among the guests. Entries closed once the field reached its capacity, demonstrating its local appeal.
