Trail du Salagou - Clermont-l'Hérault 2026

The Trail du Salagou begins at the Plage de Clermont-l'Hérault, situated on the edge of Lac du Salagou, approximately 30 minutes from Montpellier in the Hérault region. This event offers multiple trail-running distances: the 42 km Marathon du Salagou, the 27 km Tour du Lac, the 13 km Presqu'île, a 5 km mini trail, children's races of 500 m, 1000 m, and 2500 m, and a 12 km Nordic walk. The race's distinctive characteristic is the red Salagou earth, known as ruffe, which imparts its unique color and texture to the lakeside paths. The 13 km course traces the shores near Clermont-l'Hérault and Liausson before encircling the Presqu'île de la Sure; the Nordic walk shares this route and includes timed rankings. The 27 km and 42 km races incorporate more diverse terrain, featuring singletrack, wider paths, and frequent changes in rhythm on the red soil. Clermont Endurance is the organizer, and the participation of marathon runners, shorter-distance trail runners, walkers, and children creates a comprehensive club-style race day rather than a singular event.
