Foulées d'Erdeven

Foulées d'Erdeven is a trail-running event held in June in Erdeven, located on the Morbihan coast of Brittany. Participants can select from 5 km, 10 km, or 21 km distances. The 10 km and 21 km routes are officially measured and certified. The race is designed to be accessible rather than technically demanding; the 10 km and half marathon primarily follow greenway paths with some road sections, and the organizers state the routes present no significant challenges. The course offers participants a distinct impression of this region of southern Brittany, utilizing paths and greenway sections. It passes the port of Etel and extends to the dune path along the ocean. The 10 km and half marathon are included in the Challenge Douar Alre. The event also supports a local charity, with one euro from each registration donated to Princesse Maelys, an association assisting a child with a rare, unspecified illness. All finishers receive a participant gift, and bib numbers are entered into a prize draw featuring local produce such as Erdeven vegetable and cheese baskets, weekend getaways, and running equipment.
