Merindades Bike Race

The Merindades Bike Race is a mountain bike event held in Villarcayo, Burgos province, northern Spain, with editions typically in June. Participants can select non-competitive BTT routes of 170 km, 105 km, or 60 km. The event emphasizes distance, terrain, and completing the ride over competitive placement. The routes showcase Las Merindades, a region where organizers also dedicate efforts to cleaning, restoring, and maintaining local trails. Merindades Bike has organized events for over 15 years. Their broader offerings include small-group BTT, gravel, and road cycling tours featuring accommodation, full board, a support vehicle, and mechanical assistance. The motto, “Diversión sobre ruedas,” reflects the project's relaxed approach.
