Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women St. John’s

The St. John’s Run for Women begins at Dominion on Lake Avenue, featuring three race distances: a 1K Little Steps event, a 5K, and a 10K. This June community race in Newfoundland and Labrador centers on running and walking to raise funds for women’s mental health programs at Stella’s Circle. The fundraising in St. John’s supports the Naomi Centre and the Just Us Women’s Centre, assisting young women facing homelessness and those involved with the criminal justice system. Funds from the event contribute to a shared Peer Support Worker, providing close to 2,000 hours of direct support annually through counseling, group sessions, outreach within correctional facilities, reintegration assistance, court support, shared meals, walking groups, and safe environments.
