DECATHLON Persenk Ultra 2026

Pamporovo provides the mountain spine for this event, with the Perelik and Orlovets hotels at its center serving as the race hub. The DECATHLON Persenk Ultra is a trail-running week in the Smolyan mountains, featuring routes that progress from a beginner's first steps on the mountain to an ultra-distance challenge where "either you’re ready — or you become ready on the course." The course will be marked and include GPX files, with checkpoint tables aligned to each route. The start-finish area maintains energy with music, an MC, ceremonies, and numerous volunteers. The atmosphere is focused yet welcoming: returning runners receive priority for early entry, finishers are offered a hot meal and a cold beer, and the longer race distances carry the straightforward sentiment, "A touch of the Rhodope carpet, woven in 50 shades of mountain."
