Informazioni su questa gara
Severská desiatka is a 10 km road race in Košice-Sever, on the Bankov-Alpinka link at the northern edge of Košice. It is run in May, with the current listing giving an afternoon start and an asphalt surface, so this is a straightforward ten-kilometre run rather than a trail race or mountain event. Local listings call it a “Desiatka”, Slovak shorthand for a ten-k, and the organiser is the municipal part of Košice-Sever.
The route goes through the forest between Bankov and Alpinka, and one edition used two laps of a 5 km educational path along that connection. The field is split into men’s and women’s age categories, with junior categories under 19 as well; juniors, men over 70, and women over 60 have been listed with free entry. A past edition drew 107 runners. The race also has a practical local story behind it: bad weather and a windstorm once forced a postponement after trees blocked the course, and the organisers cleared the route before the rescheduled run.
