Dead Cow Gully

Dead Cow Gully is a backyard ultra held in Nanango, Queensland, on a sixth-generation cattle property where cattle share the paddocks with the runners. The format is straightforward and demanding: participants begin a 6.7 km loop at the start of each hour and repeat it hourly until only one runner remains. There is no predetermined finish distance; the race concludes solely when the field is narrowed to a single individual still running.
