3. Neckarlauf 1. Etappe Villingen-Schwenningen - Sulz-Mühlheim

The Neckarlauf begins at 7:00 AM at the Neckar's source in Villingen-Schwenningen. Participants gather the day before at the Neckarschule gymnasium in Schwenningen. Check-in opens at noon, followed by an opening dinner and briefing in the evening. The event spans Sunday through Saturday, with separate men's and women's classifications and a daily 7:00 AM start. This initial stage directs participants from the Neckar source towards Sulz-Muhlheim, commencing a point-to-point route along the river corridor. From the second stage onward, a small, slower group departs at 6:00 AM to maintain the daily schedule. Organizers manage logistical aspects for the week, including additional overnight lodging before the start and after the finish, complimentary parking in Schwenningen, train access via Schwenningen (Neckar) station, and further tram connections from Sandhofen towards Mannheim.
