Bieg Żakowski Im. Jerzego Cwojdzińskiego

The Bieg Żakowski im. Jerzego Cwojdzińskiego is a free 5 km street race held in Gorzów Wielkopolski. It begins at noon from Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących nr 1, located at ul. Puszkina 31. This 32nd edition honors Jerzy Cwojdziński. It is a direct city run, not a long-distance event, featuring general results, age-group rankings, and specific categories for students and alumni of I LO, with awards for all participants. The course commences by the school’s sports hall and concludes on the school sports fields. Participants will run on streets such as Puszkina, Wiejska, Owocowa, Wyszyńskiego, Górczyńska, Piłsudskiego, Al. Andrzejewskiego, Chodkiewicza, Kazimierza Wielkiego, and Żwirki i Wigury. Its short distance and street layout are suitable for newcomers, and the distinct categories allow school students, graduates, women, men, and runners in different age groups to compete within the same event.
