15º Meia & Maratona de Florianópolis - 42k de Floripa

42k de Floripa is a marathon weekend held in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The start and finish are at Praça Portugal, by the trapiche on Avenida Beira-Mar Norte. The main event is the 42K race, complemented by a 21K, a 5K, a children's race, and a Floripa challenge. This variety caters to marathoners, half-marathon runners, short-distance runners, families, and club groups. The event takes place in late August and is organized by GrupoSTC. The course circles the island capital. Race materials highlight the waterfront setting and the energy of Florianópolis, rather than a point-to-point route. Elite and general participants compete in the 42K and 21K races. Technical congresses for elite athletes are held before race day, and children race in age-group waves. The event offers significant prize money: 42K winners receive R$ 15,000 plus trophies, and 21K winners receive R$ 5,000. Both distances include a R$ 10,000 record bonus with a travel package. Marathon and half marathon finishers get medals, age-group podiums receive trophies, and an official dinner can be purchased in advance.
