Wild Earth 'In the Raw'

Wild Earth 'In the Raw' is a trail running event held in Numinbah Valley near the end of May, serving as the first event in the Trail Trips Triple Crown series. The primary long-course race covers 25 km with 959 metres of elevation gain and loss. The series also includes a 15 km short course, and 4 km and 9.3 km options suitable for younger participants, those new to trail running, or anyone seeking a shorter run. The 25 km course begins with 1.5 km of cross-country running on the Raw Challenge property. It then connects to Chester's Road for a sustained climb, followed by a descent into the valley and the Waterfall Trail. This section provides approximately 4 km of runnable trail with seven creek crossings, meaning participants should expect wet feet. The course layout features a mix of grass, wide fire trails, undulating terrain, a challenging ascent, and a steep, technical single-track descent. Upon finishing, participants can select a medal that complements the other Triple Crown medals or a Trail Trips buff, with the option to receive both for an additional charge.
