Oktoberfest Run & Walk

The Oktoberfest Run & Walk is a 5K in New Orleans. It starts at the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots and finishes at Deutsches Haus. The race is built around a short run or walk followed by the New Orleans Oktoberfest festival, rather than being a standalone road race. The route includes the Fairgrounds Racetrack, giving participants a stretch on a venue better associated with horses than 5Ks. Registered participants receive two entries to New Orleans Oktoberfest. The post-race draw is German food, music, and dancing at Deutsches Haus. Faster runners also have a target inside the main event: the Horsepower Challenge, sponsored by New Balance New Orleans, for the top men and women.
