Brat Trot 5k

The Brat Trot 5k begins and ends at 645 Poplar Street in Terre Haute, Indiana, guiding runners through the city’s historic brewing district. The event includes a standard 5K, a Beer Challenge 5K, and a 1-mile fun run, allowing participants to select a standard short race, a unique version, or a shorter option for a less strenuous activity. The Beer Challenge follows a 1-mile loop within the brewing district. Runners consume a 4-ounce beer at the conclusion of each circuit, after which a volunteer marks their bib. Following three laps, participants will have completed a 5K-style distance and consumed 12 ounces of beer, all provided by Afterburner Brewing Company. Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church organizes the race. The Beer Challenge is restricted to individuals 21 and older, with ID verification required. Parking is accessible at the Vigo County Library lot.
