Staddijkloop

The Staddijkloop is a small family running event in Nijmegen, Gelderland, held in October and organized by Nijmeegse Roadrunnersclub MIEP. It is based at Trainingscentrum MICHI, with registration and the start-finish area beside the large playground, allowing children and supporters to be close to the race. Runners can choose from three distances: a Kidsrun of about 1,000 meters for children aged four and up, plus 5K and 10K races for adults and older runners. The route stays within Park de Staddijk, using half-paved paths through the city park. This provides a local, low-key atmosphere instead of a big-city road-race setup. A recent edition had 276 finishers: 133 in the 5K, 118 in the 10K, and 25 in the Kidsrun. The event emphasizes club organization, family participation, and a supporter-friendly base near the playground, with local sponsors contributing to its realization.
