Rheinmarathon 2026

The Rheinmarathon is a 41 km paddle on the Rhine River, taking place from Ludwigshafen to Guntersblum in Germany. The start is located at the NATO ramp on the left bank, near Rhine-km 431.6, upstream of the A6 Mannheim-Frankenthal bridge. The finish line is at the WSF Guntersblum boathouse, situated at Rhine-km 472.8. This event is not a running marathon; it is a river paddle for various craft, accommodating recreational paddlers, touring boats, and stand-up paddleboards. All boat classes are permitted. As the Rhine is a working river, life vests are compulsory, and all participants must adhere to the Rhine Shipping Police Regulations. WSF Guntersblum e.V. coordinates the event as a group tour, following DKV touring-sport rules. The participant range is wide, including advanced paddlers, performance athletes, adults, juniors, seniors, families, and paddlers with disabilities. The event concludes at the Guntersblum boathouse, fostering a finish atmosphere akin to a club gathering rather than a large commercial race venue.
