Monster Dash Run/Walk 5k 2026

The Monster Dash Run/Walk 5K is a Halloween-themed race held in Spokane’s Manito Park. Costumes are encouraged, and participants dressed as "monsters" are part of the fun. The main event is a chip-timed 5K starting in the morning, with a Kids’ Fun Run following later the same morning. Shirt and bib pickup is available at the Lower Manito Park Picnic Shelter, with race-day setup located within the park. The kids’ race offers 1-mile, half-mile, and quarter-mile options, allowing younger runners to select a suitable distance. Adults can walk or run alongside children on the kids’ course, and all finishers receive candy goodie bags. Many parents opt to run the 5K before joining their children for the Fun Run. This marks the 17th annual running of the race, with all proceeds benefiting Active4Youth, a local nonprofit providing a free elementary running program across Spokane Public Schools, West Valley School District, and Central Valley School District.
