Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon 2026

The Mohawk Towpath Byway Duathlon is an October run-bike-run race held at Riverview Orchards in Rexford, New York. The primary format is straightforward: a 2-mile run, a 12-mile bike ride, and a second 2-mile run, totaling 16 miles. It is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, and participants can compete individually or as a relay team. Riverview Orchards on Riverview Road functions as the start, bike transition, finish, and awards location, keeping the race contained before athletes head out onto the Mohawk Towpath Byway. The course concludes along this byway, designated as one of America’s Byways. Awards are presented to the overall male and female individual victors, the top three individuals in ten-year age categories, and the top three male, female, and mixed relay squads. A sprint duathlon option is also available, featuring a 3.1-mile run, a 10-mile bike ride, and a 3.1-mile run.
