Triathlon Sprint San Giovanni in Persiceto

The Triathlon Sprint San Giovanni in Persiceto begins at the Piscine San Giovanni complex in San Giovanni in Persiceto, near Bologna. This sprint-distance triathlon features a 750m swim, a 20km bike leg, and a 5km run, marking its 15th edition. The swim takes place in the outdoor 50m Olympic pool, which has eight lanes, allowing for a controlled opening leg that is easy for spectators to follow. The bike leg consists of a single, flat 20km loop, a course designed for steady pacing and fast riding rather than climbing. The run is divided into two 2.5km loops along the paths and pedestrian lanes of the park adjacent to the pools. Families and supporters have amenities beyond roadside viewing: the complex offers five pools, including a 25m outdoor pool and a children's pool, along with shaded park areas and services. TRIevolution Sport Eventi now manages the event, continuing an established local race with its historic courses intact.
