Mozgás Éjszakája is a free night-time sports festival centered at Heroes' Square in Budapest, with events also taking place in almost 100 other locations across Hungary and internationally. The Budapest portion runs from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM, and participation is open to all without mandatory registration. This event is not a typical race series focused on results; it emphasizes broad participation, allowing beginners, regular runners, families, and seasoned athletes to engage in activities after dark.
The Budapest schedule features 3 km and 7 km runs, a night fun run, a 15 km city bike tour, a 5 km nature or Nordic walk, and over two hours of aerobics, fitness, and dance. Approximately 30 sports are available at no cost, such as Zumba, badminton, spinning, yoga, orienteering, and inline skating. The program also includes a collective Zumba warm-up, an opening ceremony, a wheelchair race, and a walking path leading to the rooftop of the new Ethnographic Museum.
