Porto Carras Athlos 2026 - Giant Run 1K (Ages 0-9)

The Giant Run 1K is the children’s race at Porto Carras Athlos, a sports festival held at Porto Carras Grand Resort in Halkidiki, Greece, over the Holy Spirit weekend. It is designed for ages 0-9, positioning it at the most family-friendly end of a race program that also includes 5K, 10K, and 21K runs. The broader festival includes open-water swimming, beach volleyball, pilates, parent-and-baby swimming, and wellness sessions, making the weekend resemble an active resort gathering more than a singular start-line event. The Giant Run Series takes its name from the Greek myth of the Gigantomachy. The event connects this idea to strength, participation, and movement, rather than focusing solely on race times. The running routes begin at the marina and utilize the resort’s coastal paths, pine forest trails, and the Domaine Porto Carras vineyards.
