Kingston Half Marathon 2026

The Kingston Half Marathon is an autumn road race held in Kingston upon Thames. Race headquarters are in central Kingston, with the start and finish located at the Kingston Hawker Centre on Lower Ham Road. The event is also known as the Russell-Cooke Kingston Half Marathon. Over 2,000 runners participate, a large field for a local race. The race begins at 09:00, employs chip timing, and provides results immediately after runners finish. All finishers receive a medal, water, juice, fruit, and a chocolate bar. The course begins with approximately five flat miles on paved roads. It then proceeds towards Teddington Lock, crosses Kingston Bridge, and follows the Barge Walk for three miles alongside the Thames. Participants will pass Hampton Court Palace, go through Thames Ditton, and loop back towards Kingston. The finish area features music from an on-stage DJ. Local organizer Peter Wedderburn of Quicksilver Events established the half marathon to offer autumn marathon runners an additional local race. More than 8,000 runners have completed the race since its inception. Kingston Hospital Charity serves as the official charity partner. The associated Kingston 10K, previously part of the event, is taking a break this year while course adjustments are made.
