The Bristol Epic Trail Ruck is a trail event at Ashton Court Estate in Long Ashton, near Bristol, offering 10k or 6k routes. It is part of the Epic Trail Ruck Series, sponsored by GORUCK. Participants can enter as a weighted ruck or a standard trail run. Each distance has three categories: Pro Ruck, Novice Ruck, and Trail Run. For Pro Ruck, men carry 25lb/11.3kg and women carry 15lb/6.8kg. For Novice Ruck, men carry 15lb/6.8kg and women carry 10lb/4.5kg. The ruck categories use GORUCK Rucker 4.0 backpacks supplied at the event. The Ashton Court route features challenging climbs and undulating terrain, with open views of the surrounding area. All participants in the same category start together and receive a finish time. This setup accommodates individuals racing competitively, those new to rucking, and trail runners not carrying weight.
