Trail des cèpes - Pont-de-Montvert-Sud-Mont-Lozère 2026

Trail des Cèpes is an October trail event held on the heights above Pont de Montvert, part of the Lozère Trail Nature network. Now in its second edition, the race maintains a straightforward format: two running courses and one walking route set in a mountain landscape connected to the local porcini mushroom season. Participants can select the Mallevrière trail, covering 24 km with 950 m of elevation gain, or the Ron de Mountal trail, a brief yet demanding 6 km route with 550 m of climbing. Hikers have a 16 km option, making the event suitable for families and mixed groups alongside trail runners. The extensive Lozère Trail Nature area features over 600 km of marked trails, and this race utilizes this terrain above Pont de Montvert instead of urban roads or a stadium-style circuit.
