Lauf gegen Krebs 2026

The 'Lauf gegen Krebs' (Run Against Cancer) is a charity event taking place for the 13th time in the Erlangen Schlossgarten. Enthusiasts of all ages are invited to participate for health, exercise, and solidarity. The event expects over 3,000 participants, including many cancer patients and their relatives, to raise funds for nutritional and sports medicine therapy and research for cancer patients. The event features various runs for different age and performance levels, starting with Bambinis (approx. 320 meters) and school children (900 meters) from 12:00 PM. The Lilly-Run 25' for ambitious runners begins at 12:30 PM, followed by youth and adult runs from 2:00 PM. The approximately 900-meter circuit runs through the Erlangen Schlossgarten, with the start and finish near the castle. Participants receive a medal about 30 minutes after finishing. The collected donations will be used to purchase special training equipment to assess and improve the physical activity and performance of cancer patients. The fundraising goal is €30,000.
