Morley 10k is a closed-road 10K around Morley in West Yorkshire, starting at 9:00 am on Wide Lane and heading straight into the town’s historic streets. Morley Running Club hosts it with Morley Town Council, and the race is volunteer-led and not-for-profit, with money raised going to local good causes. It is also built around sustainability, with a virtual goody bag and an eco-friendly medal for every finisher.
The route climbs into town on Middleton Road, passes Queen Street and the Town Hall, drops to Morley Bottoms, then uses two out-and-back sections and a three-way crossover at Morley Bottoms. It is a twisty road race with some slopes rather than a flat time-trial course, and local support is a big part of the day. Wheelchair racers are welcome, water stations are provided, and finishers can expect sweets, treats, discounted food options, and awards for the first three places.
