Sobre esta carrera
Endure24 Reading is a 24-hour trail relay held at Wasing Park near Reading, Berkshire. The event is structured around repeated 8 km loops, not a single point-to-point course. Participants can compete solo, in pairs, or in teams of up to 12. The objective is to cover the maximum number of laps within the 24-hour period. It is promoted as the UK's largest 24-hour relay, attracting a diverse field from novice runners to seasoned ultramarathoners.
The course is undulating, passing Wasing Wood and the 15th-century Church of St Nicholas. Runners will repeatedly encounter these landmarks throughout the day and into the night. Solo and pair runners are provided with dedicated camping spots and a bag drop service. Teams utilize the relay format for rest, nutrition, and runner transitions. The event cultivates a festival atmosphere, with one attendee describing it as “Glastonbury meets ultra running.” Adverse weather can transform the trails into a significant mud challenge. A 100 Mile Club offers an exclusive yellow T-shirt, and charity entry options are available, including for Young Lives vs Cancer.
