Vennlauf

The Vennlauf begins at the village square in Monschau-Mützenich, situated on the border of the High Fens, adjacent to the German-Belgian nature reserve. This race is a long-standing local event organized by TV Eintracht Mützenich 1921 e.V., offering categories for children, runners, walkers, and participants who prefer a leisurely walk over a competitive race. The event features children's races of 300 m, 1.1 km, and 2 km, alongside main races of 4.4 km, 10 km, and a half marathon at 21.1 km. The 10 km course is also available for Nordic walkers, and a guided hike through the high moor landscape is offered for those seeking a relaxed pace. Following the races, the Dorfplatz in Mützenich becomes the central point, providing a cafeteria, a bouncy castle, and face painting for children.
