The Chichester Half Marathon is set to return for its 14th year on Sunday, October 4 2026. The event will partner with More Leisure to deliver one of the south coast’s most scenic and celebrated running events. Starting from the accessible Chichester College, over 1,000 runners are expected to take part across all distances. Running first through the historic centre of Chichester, participants will be treated to a distinctive route that combines city streets steeped in heritage with rolling countryside and sweeping views across the South Downs. The partially closed-road course takes runners past some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, including Chichester Cathedral, The Cross and the ancient Roman city walls, before heading out into the surrounding South Downs National Park. One of the standout moments of the course comes with the climb to The Trundle, where runners are rewarded with panoramic views stretching across Chichester, Goodwood and the coast. From there, the route descends via the iconic Centurion Way, offering a fast and flowing return into the city centre and towards a memorable finish. In addition to the half marathon, the event will also feature a seven-mile route and an inclusive mile, ensuring accessibility for runners and walkers of all abilities. All finishers will receive a commemorative medal in recognition of their achievement, marking another memorable chapter in this much-loved community event.
