Ossis 8er-Lauf

Ossis 8er-Lauf is a cross-country running event in Schweinfurt, Bavaria, held in memory of Ossi Baunach, a former department head and trainer. It begins at 11:00 a.m. and offers runners multiple route options. The longest route is approximately 10.8 km, intended for active runners and seniors. Shorter races are available for youth and children, with the youngest participants running distances from about 400 m to 1.1 km. The programme also features walking and Nordic walking over 5.4 km, catering to club runners, families, walkers, and older participants, not exclusively fast racers. DJK Schweinfurt and TG Schweinfurt organize the event. Registration is typically available online and in person. The participant field is modest, usually ranging between 101 and 300. The event has been held for at least 14 editions, and organizers publish results, start lists, and photos post-race.
